🌅 Devotional: Rejoice, for He Has Risen

Scripture:
"And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him."
– Matthew 28:9 (KJV)

✨ Reflection:

Imagine the fear and sorrow the women carried as they went to the tomb—only to find it empty. Then, Jesus Himself appears, radiant and alive, and He speaks: “All hail”—a royal greeting, filled with peace, joy, and triumph.
In Greek, it means “Rejoice!”

This was not just a casual hello. It was an invitation to enter into resurrection joy. Jesus had conquered death, fulfilled prophecy, and proven that no grave can hold the promises of God. He greeted them not with rebuke or instruction—but with a call to rejoice.

They responded by falling at His feet and worshiping Him. That is the right response to the risen King—worship in awe and love.

🙏 Prayer:

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus,
I rejoice in the risen Savior.
Thank You that Jesus triumphed over death and brings eternal hope to all who believe.
May my heart overflow with the joy of His resurrection, and may I, like the women, fall at His feet and worship Him in spirit and truth.
Let every fear be silenced by this glorious truth: He is alive!
In Jesus Almighty name, Amen.

💭 Reflection Questions:

  1. What does the resurrection of Jesus mean personally to you today?

  2. Have you allowed the joy of the risen Christ to enter your heart this week?

  3. What areas of your life still need to be touched by His resurrection power?
