The Great Commission

The Great Commission is a mandate given by Jesus to his disciples extended to all believers to reach the entire globe with the Gospel of Salvation, and to bring nations to the knowledge of the truth through discipleship and to consequently bring territorial and socialitoria transformation.

These are where you can find the Great Commission:

1) Mark 16:15-20

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

2) Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

3) Acts 1:6-11

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Prayer :

Abba Father Almighty God, in the name of Jesus, we come before you, humbled by the divine mandate bestowed upon us, the Great Commission, echoing the words of your Son, Jesus Christ. In Mark 16:15-20, He charged His disciples, and by extension, all believers, to go forth into all the world and proclaim the Gospel of Salvation to every creature. We stand in awe of the profound responsibility to bring nations to the knowledge of the truth through discipleship, ushering in territorial and societal transformation.

Lord, as we embark on this sacred mission, let the words of Mark 16:16 resonate deeply within our hearts — a call to salvation for those who believe and a plea for redemption for those who do not. May the signs that follow believers be evident in our lives, casting out devils, speaking with new tongues, taking up serpents without harm, and laying hands on the sick for their recovery. Your promise is true, and we trust in your unfailing word.

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus declared that all power is given unto Him in heaven and on earth. With this
divine authority, we are commissioned to teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Empower us to observe and impart all that You have commanded us, with the assurance that Your presence will be with us always, even unto the end of the world.

Acts 1:6-11 reveals the disciples' longing for the restoration of the kingdom, and your response, Lord,
redirects their focus. Grant us the wisdom to understand that the times and seasons are in Your hands. Fill us with the power of the Holy Ghost, that we may be witnesses for Christ in Jerusalem, in all Judaea, in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

As we gaze toward heaven, anticipating the return of our Savior, instill in us a sense of urgency,
purpose, and unwavering faith. May our actions and words confirm the truth of the Gospel, just as the disciples went forth, preaching everywhere, with the Lord working alongside them, confirming the word with signs following.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray, believing and declaring, Amen.

The Church in Laodicea

A call to REPENT Revelation 3:14-22 in the King James Version (KJV):

"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." The Charge - wrongdoings or shortcomings

The wrongdoings or shortcomings (the charge) mentioned in Revelation 3:14-22, particularly in the context of the message to the church in Laodicea, can be summarized as follows:

  1. 1. Lukewarmness: The church is criticized for being lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. A lack of fervor, commitment, or passion in their faith. They are not actively pursuing a close relationship with God.

  2. 2.Self-Sufficiency: The church is accused of saying, "I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing." This reflects an attitude of self-sufficiency and a reliance on material wealth rather than recognizing their spiritual need and dependence on God.

  3. 3. Spiritual Blindness: The church is described as spiritually blind, unaware of their true condition and the spiritual challenges they face. Not discerning the deeper spiritual truths and the lack of insight into the spiritual battles taking place.

  4. 4.Poverty: Despite their material wealth, the church is described as spiritually poor.

  5. 5.Nakedness: The church is described as spiritually naked, lacking the spiritual garments needed for protection and righteousness. The absence of the "armor of God" mentioned in Ephesians 6:10-18.

  6. 6.Failure to Fight Spiritual Battles: The church is not actively engaged in the spiritual warfare against darkness and principalities. They did not put on the armor of God and standing firm against the schemes of the devil.

  7. Spiritual complacency, self-reliance, and a lack of awareness of the need for spiritual growth, discernment, and active participation in the ongoing spiritual battles. The message call for the church to repent, become zealous, and open themselves to a transformative relationship with Christ.

The Love, rebuke and chasterning

Love and Rebuke: The verse starts with the declaration that those whom God loves, He rebukes. This highlights the corrective aspect of God's love. Rebuking is a way of correcting or admonishing someone who is going astray.

Chastening: chastening involves disciplining and training that God administers to those whom He loves, for the purpose of correcting the astray to bring them out of darkness into the light. In leading the people to attain spiritual growth and refinement to close spiritual walk with God.

Believers are called to be zealous (enthusiastically committed) and to repent (turn away from wrongdoing). It emphasizes the transformative and purifying nature of God's discipline, intending to guide individuals back to a righteous path and strengthen their faith. Shaping individuals faithfulness and to be obedient followers of God. Jesus desires for a personal and intimate relationship with individuals. Standing at the door and knocking suggests that Jesus is seeking entry into the hearts and lives of people.

Door: Represents the heart or the individual's life.

Knocking: Symbolizes Jesus' invitation to enter into a personal relationship.

Emphasis is on the voluntary nature of this relationship. Jesus does not force His way in; instead, He patiently waits for individuals to respond to His call. It involves an invitation for people to open their hearts to Him, to listen to His teachings, and to allow Him to become an integral part of their lives.

The promise "I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" conveys fellowship, communion, and shared intimacy. It suggests a deep and personal connection between the individual and Jesus, much like sharing a meal together in biblical times was a sign of close friendship and relationship.

It is for the individuals to be receptive to Christ's call, to open their hearts to Him, and to enter into a meaningful and personal relationship with Him.

Prayer :

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, we give You all the praise and thanks, for only You are worthy of our worship. As we draw near to Your throne with open hearts, acknowledging Your sovereignty and grace, we thank You for Your words to the church in Laodicea, as revealed in Revelation 3:14-22. These words resonate deeply within our hearts, and we confess moments of lukewarm faith, lacking the passion that Your love deserves.

Forgive us, Lord, for relying on our own strength and thinking we needed nothing. Illuminate our eyes to our spiritual condition, revealing areas where growth and transformation are needed. May we be pure and as white as snow. Let Your light pierce through the illusions of comfort, keeping us from spiritual blindness. Open our eyes to see and our ears to hear Your voice.

We repent of our self-sufficiency and our neglect in the spiritual battles. Clothe us in Your armor, enabling us to stand firm against the enemy's schemes. Make us acutely aware of our spiritual poverty and guide us to the enduring riches found in a profound communion with You. This intimacy with You, the only true living God.

Thank You for Your love that rebukes and chastens. Help us embrace correction with open hearts, understanding it stems from Your deep love. Ignite a zealous spirit within us—a passion to know You intimately, love You fervently, and serve You wholeheartedly.

Lord, we invite You to come into our lives anew. Knock on the door of our hearts, and may we eagerly swing it wide open, welcoming You in. We acknowledge that You are God, the Alpha and Omega, who blesses whom You choose. You see our hearts and know us better than we know ourselves. May we learn of You, take up the cross, and obey the calling and will of our Father in heaven. May our fellowship be intimate and transformative, a sacred feast of the spirit.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.
